Role Summary: The Geospatial Analyst is responsible for ensuring end user adoption for GIS technologies, including tasks such as data collection and development, data QA/QC, general analysis / map production and training users on GIS software.

Candidates must be able to obtain a secret security clearance and proof of U.S. Citizenship is required.

Strong preference will be given to local candidates (TX) and relocation assistance is not anticipated for these positions.

Essential Functions:
  • Evaluate existing data and processes, define and perform QA/QC workflows
  • Execute project activities for a variety of data collection, development, data maintenance and migration tasks
  • Train users on the use and adoption of GIS technologies
  • Create documentation on data quality and GIS workflows
  • Create standardized mapping and data products to facilitate end-user consumption
  • Respond to support requests from business lines

Competencies and Skills:
  • Knowledge of GIS data development, editing and quality control procedures
  • Exceptional customer service orientation
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to utilize GIS technologies (e.g. GPS and ArcGIS)

Experience:

· Minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Geography/GIS, Science, Engineering or related field (Additional education can be substituted for years of experience)

· Demonstrated experience with data compilation and spatial analysis

· Demonstrated experience working with customers to define and fulfill support requests

· Minimum of 1 year experience creating and editing geospatial data and metadata using ESRI ArcGIS software suite

· Knowledge of cartographic procedures and experience generating maps

Ideal (in addition to required experience)

· Experience working within DoD agencies and/or with military installation data

· Enterprise geodatabase and SDE experience

· Model Builder/Python experience

· Knowledge of Federal data standards including FGDC and SDSFIE

· Existing DoD Clearance
