DESCRIPTION

To review, approve and monitor GIS data for conformance with industry standards and project specifications, recommend revisions of specifications when indicated and formulate, or assist in formulating, quality assurance and control policies and procedures.

DUTIES

  • Manages department and overall expectations pertaining to setting accurate schedules, costs and resources.
  • Ensures delivery against Quality Team goals and objectives, i.e. Meeting commitments and coordinating overall quality assurance schedule.
  • Provides necessary definition, development and deployment of product quality assurance strategy, addressing all phases of product development.
  • Provides administrative oversight and conducts performance reviews for Quality Team Leads.
  • Provides tasking assignments to Quality Team Leads.
  • Establishes performance and continually monitors progress of the established goals for the Quality Team Leads.
  • Makes production decisions based on business needs and goals established by the Division Manager.
  • Coordinates with Production Managers, under the direction of the Division Manager, to share resources as necessary to meet product and/or project needs.
  • Allocates resources between Quality Team Leads in a manner consistent with Division level goals and project needs.
  • Implements ongoing quality improvement processes working with interdepartmental teams.
  • Maintains product consistency throughout product cycle, to include the design, define and build phases through quality checkpoints and testing.
  • Develop and manage quality assurance metrics for performance improvement of all teams.
  • Mitigates resource conflicts between Quality Team Leads.
  • Conducts regularly scheduled meetings with Quality Team Leads.
  • Oversees quality control processes to ensure proper cost, quality, and schedule performance.
  • Responsible for establishing quality assurance monitoring and processes.
  • Conducts advanced financial performance analysis of quality control activities.
  • Ensures adequate training and skill sets are in place to accomplish production and quality goals.
QUALIFICATIONS

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex technical, financial, and administrative issues using a variety of analytic methods and critical thinking skills.
  • Capable of providing effective oversight, communication, and accountability to personnel distributed across multiple production offices.
  • Responsible and accountable of flagging the timing of interdepartmental deliverables and the quality of their output.
  • Must be efficient in problem solving and decision making when issues arise.
  • Must be willing and able to travel between production sites as needed.
  • Must have strong organizational skills and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast paced environment.
  • Must be self-managed.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively, develop trust, and manage conflicts.
  • Must be able to motivate others and maintain composure in stressful situations.
  • Must be able and willing to act as an effective liaison for the company to those under their administrative oversight.
  • At least 4 years of professional experience in project management and/or quality control production is desired.
  • Previous personnel management experience is desired.
  • Ability to obtain government clearance required. Must be a US Citizen.
