The primary duties of the Geotechnical Engineer are to:
Provide project and technical task management, including directing geotechnical staff, preparing geotechnical reports and monitoring schedules, scopes and budgets.
Lead technical teams in the performance of geotechnical investigations and analyses including field investigations, laboratory testing, seepage analyses, stability analyses, settlement estimates, seismic assessments, lateral earth pressure evaluation, shallow and deep foundation design recommendations, and ground improvement assessments.
Develop geotechnical design recommendations and provide technical reviews during the design and construction of residential, commercial, industrial, water resource and transportation projects.
Provide oversight of geotechnical work performed by TRC’s subconsultants.
Provide oversight on projects during construction.
Help develop TRC’s geotechnical practice in the Bay Area, by attending professional society meetings and working with marketing team on pursuits and coordinating with existing and potential clients.
Bachelor’s degree in civil or geological engineering required, Master’s degree a plus.
PE required, GE is a plus.
5 to 10 years of experience.
Experience with gINT Software, AutoCAD, and EZ-Frisk is a plus
