Responsible for the accurate full lifecycle processing of over 20,000 gift transactions per year, including the acceptance, processing, receipting and stewardship of all gifts, pledges, and pledge payments in a timely fashion. Research industry best practices and implement them to ensuring that gifts are recorded and receipted in compliance with CASE guidelines, IRS requirements, auditor requirements and University policy and procedure.
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
Minimum of 2 year of gift processing experience or several years experience in a University Development Office.
Experience in an academic, non-profit and/or development environment.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: (include unique competencies, certification, licenses, etc.):
Advanced computer skills required (including a working knowledge of development and financial systems, Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint). Comprehensive understanding of CASE guidelines and IRS guidelines for receipting tax-deductible contributions. Excellent judgement and decision-making abilities, ability to interpret and evaluate policy and procedural requirements and produce and analyse data; effective written and oral communication skills, organisational and interpersonal skills. Excellent presentation skills. Must be able to work under the pressure of time and frequent requests from multiple sources each having their own timelines and constraints and with all levels of academic and administrative staff. Extensive knowledge of functionality of AWA to ensure accurate recording and reporting of major fundraising revenue. Excellent email and verbal communication.
