Major/Essential Duties of Job
This position is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations; addressing data storage, management and access issues; facilitating student and faculty projects; analyzing geospatial data using remote sensing and GIS software; developing software to facilitate technology transfer; and can assist in technical and applied problem solving as well as teaching short courses. Developing software to facilitate technology transfer and assist in technical and applied problem solving. Other duties as required.
Investigates complaints and resolves problems; reviews, recommends and implements policy changes.
Required Education and Experience
Bachelors degree in a related discipline such as Geography, Computer Science, or Earth Science. Five years experience in remote sensing and geographic information systems (GIS), computing programming, database administration, and/or management of laboratory personnel, equipment, and servers; two years supervisory experience.
Preferred Education and Experience
Master's Degree plus three years' experience in remote sensing and geographic information systems (GIS), computing programming, database administration, and/or management of laboratory personnel, equipment, and servers; two years supervisory experience.

Salary Starting salaries for positions may be negotiable based on qualifications and experience
$40,000 - $55,000
