In support of academic and business units within the Global Network University (GNU), the incumbent administers matters related to student conduct in accordance with University student conduct procedures and related regulatory standards, coordinating the implementation of University policy within the context of NYU's global academic centers and the nations/localities in which they are located. This is a part-time position.
Bachelors degree in a related field
Master's degree in Higher Education, Counseling or related field strongly preferred
3+ years experience in student conduct and/or the management of student behavioral issues in a higher education setting.
Experience with global education, study abroad programs and international settings.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: (include unique competencies, certification, licenses, etc.):
Effective problem solving skills, organizational savvy, interpersonal and writing skills. Ability to exercise appropriate judgment and discretion, as well as maintain integrity and confidences. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of professionalism; attention to detail.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: (include unique competencies, certification, licenses, etc.):
Ability to relate to students while still challenging and holding them accountable for their behavioral choices; Ability to relate to University administrators; Basic knowledge of federal and state regulatory law as it pertains to the implementation of student conduct and incident interventions; familiarity with University policies and procedures related to student conduct and grievances.
