We are expanding and growing our marketing team and are looking to add a Global Director of Public Relations and Analyst Relations. This position is a key member of InMobi’s marketing leadership team and will lead the PR programs for an impressive list of clients. This individual plays a critical role in shaping the way InMobi is perceived by key audiences around the globe.
A high profile, critical role, this person will be responsible for the development, execution and measurement of all PR communications strategies, initiatives and tactics; drives the day-to-day activities; and ensures that metrics/results capture the goals and effectiveness of all campaigns and programs. The Director is responsible for fostering collaboration with internal stakeholders and serves as the primary interface between InMobi’s internal clients and external resources including PR agencies globally. As part of the Marketing team, the Director will work with marketing managers, executive staff, and product managers to define and execute our overall public relations strategy.
The AR & PR Director will be a key information source for all media contacts requesting data and insights, and will manage the development, implementation, and coordination of internal and external public relations strategies, with the goal of gaining recognition in the market, promoting our services, and establishing our thought leadership throughout our target customer segments.
As a key member of InMobi’s marketing leadership team, the Director of Public Relations will oversee all PR programs and all PR personnel. This person is also responsible for managing and growing InMobi’s public relations team and client base. The ideal candidate has a passion for media relations, news and social media. In addition, this person understands the issues surrounding mobile technologies, media and advertising business.
Specific responsibilities include:
Developing global objectives, strategies and managing the implementation of AR & PR programs
Writing press releases, blogs and other AR & PR deliverables
Managing a global virtual PR team (work with in-region resources across all continents) and making sure each member is delivering top-notch PR results
Monitoring competitive news and recommending competitive strategies
Managing messaging and positioning strategies
Drafting executive communications, conference pitches, speeches and business presentations
Occasionally conducting media training
Accurately forecasting budgets and managing the resources
Supporting the InMobi executive team in crisis communications
Identifying and securing opportunities that provide qualitative and quantitative reach in print, blogs and broadcast
Desired Skills & Experience
Minimum ten years experience as a PR executive inside a large agency or as an owner or senior executive at a boutique PR agency or leading the PR function for a high profile startup in the technology space
Established relationships with journalists, particularly in the US
Proven results with highly strategic corporate PR initiatives
Experience with executive communications
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Demonstrated initiative, solid judgment and creativity
Strong presentation skills
Understanding of the global digital media industry and the mobile ecosystem
Strong interpersonal skills with can-do attitude; no ego - we are a small, dynamic team and everyone pitches in to get the job done
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in public relations, communications, journalism or marketing required or equivalent work experience
