FUNCTIONAL JOB TITLE: Global Financial Analyst
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Financial oversight and control for aspects of Newedge’s Global IT Department and IT Expense categories from a transversal perspective for all departments. Responsibilities include monthly management reporting and expense variance analysis, budget & forecast processes support/development and ad-hoc analysis. Additional areas of support include Transaction Detail Reporting Processes and aspects of the IT Department’s indirect expense allocation process. The position also will liaise with Regional and Global Finance groups as well as other departments on issues related to IT expenses and have interactions with Senior IT Department management.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED :
4 to 6 years of experience providing management reporting, variance analysis, cost accounting, budgeting, and ad-hoc financial analysis for Technology or Operational areas preferably in the financial services industry. The position requires keen analytical abilities, financial modelling skills, data management skills and strong communications skills. Technical skill requirements include experience using essbase and very strong Microsoft Excel and Access Database skills. VBA skills a strong plus. Familiarity with ORACLE GL is also a plus.
Additional qualifications include an undergraduate degree in Finance or Accounting (MBA is a plus). Experience working in matrix structures and dynamic environments is preferred.

Position reports to the head of IT/Operations Management Information & Budget (MIB) Finance.
LEVEL OF AUTONOMY:
Ability to carry out tasks with minimal supervision and interact with senior managers of departments supported as needed.
