Global Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Reporting Specialist

Capco, a Consulting Magazine “Best Firms to Work For,” (2012) is rapidly expanding our global footprint and we have an immediate need for a Global FP&A Reporting Specialist .

Reporting directly to the Global Director of FP&A, the position offers high visibility within the Capco Finance team and to senior management, exposure to international business processes and a high level of responsibility with a wide breadth of tasks to challenge the successful candidate. The incumbent will be responsible for delivery of global business financial information which includes, but is not limited to, current and forecasted future performance of our global business. The role has a heavy emphasis on the analysis of actual results, the compilation of short- and medium-term forecasts/budgets, and long-term business planning, utilizing both financial and non-financial metrics, and developing and implementing the future business reporting systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop global management reporting processes that relate to the monthly financial close
  • Implement new reporting strategies across the business, including process improvement within the existing reporting infrastructure, and to work towards the implementation of a new reporting tool to further enhance the reporting process
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and year-end financial commentary and presentations to Global CEO, Executive Management Committee and External Owners
  • Liaise with business units to improve the quality of narrative reporting across the group, emphasizing both non-financial and financial metrics
  • Develop Balanced Scorecard and non-financial reporting metrics, incorporating KPIs arising from strategic review
  • Provide insight into company performance vs. previous years/trends
  • Responsible for the design and implementation of budget and forecast processes and timetables to fulfil global requirements
  • Constantly monitor any ad hoc reporting/analysis requests from the regions with an aim to standardize the reporting support provided to the regions
  • Manage reporting requirements of External Owners and adhere to strict reporting timelines
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Role Requirements/Additional Attributes
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role (but no more than 7)
  • Business and Financial Reporting expertise
  • Experience implementing new reporting systems and models
  • Experience within a professional services environment or management consulting firm required
  • Significant management experience achieving results in a fast-paced, high growth, multi-priority environment, including cross-functional coordination with human resources, operations, and legal
  • Experience with ERP (e.g., PeopleSoft and or Oracle)
  • Implementation and project management experience of a new reporting system
  • Financial process management skills
  • Ability to understand the business’s needs and how to successfully support a high-growth organization, translating this into business-oriented processes and procedures that achieve objectives timely and effectively
  • Ability to produce an accurate, timely, complete and compliant set of reports at both the local and global levels
  • Prior experience within a global organization required
  • Experience with SQL and reporting/analysis services
  • English fluency required. Dutch, German or French highly desirable.
  • Strong technical skills, including advanced to expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Executive presence; well-developed presentation, interpersonal, communication and relationship-building skills
