Mintel is looking for a Global Food Science Analyst to join its fast-growing team in Chicago that focuses on providing thought leading insights and analysis across multiple food and drink categories. Our Global Analysts are tasked with challenging our clients’ ideas and thinking by providing fresh insight and analysis with impact, building upon our proprietary data and research.
Mintel is looking to expand its market-leading coverage of the global food and drink market by further enhancing its expertise in the area of food technology and food science. The Global Food Science Analyst will produce thought-leading content and insight-driven analysis on the impact of cutting-edge developments in the food science sphere and its application in consumer markets. This person will ideally have experience working for a manufacturer or brand within the food industry in the US (and/or Europe), a Research/advertising/marketing strategy firm or as a Journalist for a relevant trade publication.
Write monthly analysis focusing on trends in food ingredients, food technology and emerging food science.
Interact and engage with clients through presentations, quarterly webinars, ask the analyst sessions, conferences, etc.
Bachelor’s degree in Food science or Food Technology.
Six years of experience of the food science, ingredients or packaging markets gained from working in or with the food and drink industry
In depth experience of the food technology industry
Ability to analyze multiple sets of data and write concise, insightful analysis
Ability to think creatively when analyzing and presenting data
Strong client development, presentation and consultancy skills
Multi-country knowledge and experience an advantage
Ability to work out of our Chicago office
