PSI is now seeking a committed, dynamic and innovative Human Resources Executive as a strategic partner to lead the People function within a highly mission-driven, employee-oriented and high performance culture.
Reporting to the CEO, s/he will manage a team of HR professionals. The head of HR will design, develop, implement, manage and recommend on all People-related initiatives and strategies to ensure effective optimization of human resources in order to meet the goals, aspirations and direction of PSI’s strategic plan. Though the key responsibilities can be found in the job description/appointment details, the position is chiefly responsible for being a:
strategic partner to the executive team in setting out the strategic plan
agent of organizational change in ensuring the organization is ready for the changing landscape of development assistance
advocate for employee engagement to ensure that organizational initiatives and activities for staff are well designed but also representing the “voice” of staff to the executive decision making process
excellent HR administrator providing expertise in the functioning of HR employee life-cycle business processes
While the scope of this role is based in the Washington DC covering the head office’s US-based staff, additional international HR experience is strongly desirable in order to provide leadership to the global People function.
