As a team member under direct supervision, will assist in case initiations, responding to requests, communicating with company contacts and assignees, generating reports, and research on immigration issues. Significant client contact.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The incumbent must adhere to the Firm’s privacy and confidentiality policies and may be required to perform all or a combination of the following essential functions as determined by business necessity:

1. Case Work
  • Perform intake of cases, ensure they are entered into GVS and initiated to the appropriate case team.
  • Request missing information as necessary.
  • Determine need for ancillary services such as document procurement, visa assistance, etc., obtain authorization for these services, ensure additional cases are entered into GVS and initiated.
  • Communicate with caseworkers and case managers of case status and case issues based on requests from clients.
  • Communicate with clients as appropriate or refer matters to Supervisor
  • Monitor status of assigned cases.
  • Maintain follow up on outstanding issues
2. Client Relations
  • Maintain client contact information.
  • Provide status updates to clients and assignees.
  • Generate reports for clients and review and update as appropriate.
  • Draft and send detailed emails as appropriate for the situation. Review with Supervisor as approopriate.
3. Team Interaction
  • Meet assigned deadlines and communicates case progress/status/issues to supervisor and clients as directed by supervisor.
4. Administrative Support
  • Extract data through reporting in accurate manner.
  • Update case management system.
  • Approve invoices
5. Other duties as assigned
  • Contribute to the Firm’s overall initiative to consistently improve its image internally and externally. Displays professionalism, quality service and a “positive” attitude to internal members/departments of the Firm as well as external clients and vendors via electronic and print correspondence, telephone and in person.

  • Courteous and complete in communicating with case workers, case managers, clients and assignees.
  • Masters report generating software and generates accurate reports.
  • Responds timely and effectively to client requests and know when to escalate.
  • Communicates clearly and accurately both verbally and in writing and, adhere to client confidentiality and privacy.
D. Team Interaction
  • Meets assigned deadlines and communicates case progress/status/issues to supervisor.
  • Demonstrates flexibility and initiative regarding assignments for self and team.
  • Contributes to positive work environment.
Administrative Support
  • Maintains accuracy in updating GVS files, approving invoices, and maintaining client information.
  • Demonstrates flexibility and initiative regarding assignments for self and team.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

BS or BA Degree and generally has 3 years of experience with the Firm or 3+ years of experience with another law firm, department, or corporate legal function; some global immigration or US immigration experience desired. Experience with a relocation processes is helpful.
