We have an immediate opportunity for a Global Marketing & Communication Associate to join our corporate team, based in our Washington, D.C., office. The Global Marketing & Communication Associate is responsible for day-to-day work of the Global Marketing and Communication team in support of the APCO Worldwide brand.

Responsibilities

Draft copy, edit and work with designers to create marketing materials and promotional items

Manage inventory control of marketing materials and maintenance of supply distribution globally

Identify and execute advertising opportunities, track results

Assist with creation of company advertisements

Manage development, execution and submission of company awards, directory listings and rankings

Organize and coordinate APCO events (prospective clients, internal management meetings and global retreats)

Identify, evaluate and facilitate sponsorship activities aligned with company goals

Create internal plans to launch new initiatives and programs and draft internal communication

Conduct market research

Develop and maintain reports of marketing activity

Assist in execution of client surveys

Conduct research and analyze issues that may impact special projects and company policies

Assist in developing broader marketing and media programs for the marketing team

Provide marketing support to global practice areas as designated

Execute special projects initiated by and Senior Director of Marketing & Communication

Serve as a proactive and thoughtful member of the marketing team and as a strong ambassador of our team to the rest of the company

Participate in meetings and conference calls

Other responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

1-3 years of relevant experience

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field

Writing and editing skills, and the ability to write both strategically and creatively under tight deadlines

Strong presentation skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat, InDesign and Illustrator
