The Global Marketing Bsiness Analyst is responsible for accurate analysis and creation of reports for the global marketing team. This position is primarily responsible for the reporting and analysis needs of the global field marketing team, which consists of presentation creation, standard daily reports, ad hoc reports and operational “program activity” analytics. The individual in this role develops, in conjunction with, departments key performance indicators/metrics – tracks results for departmental reporting. This person must possess the ability to automate reports and reporting processes where opportunities arise to maximize efficiency.
Requires high level of technical skills using MS Access, Excel and PowerPoint
Expertise in data mining, data warehousing, business intelligence and lead management processes and technologies
Utilizes knowledge of database architecture and development and a proven high level of problem solving skills is necessary
Extensive experience design, extract and create reports which combine data from multiple data sources. Ability to organize and analyze reports and propose solutions to management and marketing
Proactively resolve issues and maintain good judgement in critical situations
Ability to work independently, multi-task and respond to requests quickly / influence and lead others to support priority project and departmental goals
Identify and understand target audiences and industry segments relative to the use case key constituents
Bachelor’s degree (BS or BA) in marketing, technology, or related field
5+ years experience in reporting and analysis
In depth understanding of reporting and analytics methods and ability to translate into understandable and actionable information
Proven testing and data validation skills
Must be highly detailed and accurate
Demonstrated ability to assess client needs and provide reporting or database solutions to meet those needs
Knowledge of and highly proficient with database software tools including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Access (Level 3). Excellent knowledge of Excel (Level 3), Word, and Powerpoint and Outlook and SQL
Responsible for managing to tight deadlines and managing multiple projects simultaneously
Displays strong organizational skills.
Strong team player. Communicates professionally both internally and externally. Proficient written, oral and interpersonal skills
