This full-time intern position is based in Washington, DC and reports to the Senior Advisor, Global Philanthropy. The position requires flexibility and willingness to assume varied coordination roles and responsibilities to ensure efficient fundraising for the organization. The position is focused on serving the needs of the newly formed Women’s Investment Network (WIN), a by invitation group of high net worth leaders across sectors and select geographies who will use their influence and interest to make significant impact on issues that affect women and girls.
Tasks include but are not limited to:
Manage all travel logistics for WIN team events and meetings.
Assist team in planning and coordinating all WIN domestic and international events, retreats and trips.
Lead the development of briefing books, creative trip brochures, PowerPoint presentations, short videos from the field and other engagement materials as necessary.
Other duties as assigned by the Senior Advisor, Global Philanthropy.
Liaise with internal departments to coordinate schedules, bios and background materials for learning journeys to selected countries.
Schedule meetings and draft agendas for calls with country offices and DC staff; lead follow up actions to ensure all deadlines are met.
Maintain trip and event budgets.
Manage hotel, restaurant and any special venue reservations, deposits and special requests.
Liaise with trip attendees to gather any necessary travel documents, visas, special needs or requests, etc.
Research and/or proofreading for various written projects.
Responding to internal and external requests for information.
Maintaining contact database and recording contact reports.
Create expense reports and other administrative tasks.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
At least one to three years’ experience in a non-profit organization.
Donor research experience preferred.
Nonprofit events experience preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint; SalesForce and WealthEngine experience preferred.
Ability to present information concisely and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with and quickly gain the respect and support of various constituencies, including Board, staff members, program directors, and extremely high-net-worth donors.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
