JOB TITLE: Global Quality Manager
REPORTS TO: Operations Director - CCC
SUMMARY: Serves as an internal and external quality analyst and liaison, managing and solving quality issues to ensure consistent high value company products and installation. Seeks to improve the quality of process outputs by identifying and removing the causes of defects or errors and minimizing variability in processes globally across all functions in the organization.
Establish Quality Assurance Programs to measure the probability of failures based upon opportunities for defects and the production and supply levels for the company manufactured hardware. Manage data collection and analysis at suppliers, internal and field issues. Establish and manage a comprehensive company-wide corrective and preventive action process based on scientific problem solving and improvements, focusing on elimination of problems
Drive Continuous Process Improvement activities throughout the organization
Manage creation of action plans within those groups to correct the issues, follow up, and track the identification of corrective actions
Manage ISO 9001 implementation and requirements for the corporation
Lead Supplier Development Program to ensure right Quality, right time, and right price parts through focused continuous improvement efforts, which include visiting suppliers for audits.
Lead Corporate Quality Committee in identifying and implementing viable performance metrics for all groups and drive continuous process improvements throughout the company
Coordinate communication of quality issues across all areas of the company
Stay cognizant of current and future trends in Quality and Process Improvement in the industry and adapt to the company as necessary
Conduct and organize training of employees on ISO-9001, statistical techniques, problem solving, and quality awareness
Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Respond to change productively and handle other duties as required.
PEOPLE DEVELOPMENT AND LEADERSHIP:
Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organisation’s policies and applicable laws, including Health and Safety, Investors in People, Sarbanes Oxley, Quality Standards, Environmental Policy, Ethics Policy
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; employee development; Planning, assigning and directing work, apprising performance; rewarding and disciplining, employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Develop skills, through effective management coaching.
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in related technical field
Five or more years experience as a Quality Engineer or equivalent
Proven teamwork and leadership ability
Desired: ASQ certified Quality Manager, Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, and ISO-9001 Lead Auditor
Knowledge & Skills:
Foreign language skills a plus
Must have a sound understanding of statistics
Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications, MRP platforms, and statistical software
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.
Proven problem solving ability. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
