The primary focus of this particular role is to create, monitor and report on contracting and associated purchasing activities that support certain aspects of the MJN Global R&D departmental budgets. Other responsibilities include Operational Project Budgets, GPDMS administration and PLM system administrative support. In particular the candidate will be expected to:
Manages all aspects of the mechanics of the contracting process for assigned GR&D departments including contract administration, the Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) system, and change documentation.
Issues purchase orders (PO) and performs subsequent PO related SAP transactions (e.g. goods receipt (GR), increase PO amount, close POs) at the guidance of the budget owner.
Monitors and reports on the status of the POs as part of the SAP transactions, providing the information to the budget owner to make appropriate decisions
Exhibits diplomacy with internal and external parties to resolve invoice/payment issues.
Performs monthly operational budget monitoring and controlling tasks including reporting/statistics; assisting with routine financial processes such as projections, accruals and month end close
Establishes, maintains, and administers an effective and efficient process by which GR&D project financials are tracked, actuals updated, and projections made.
Analyzes new projection against previous one and budget then identifies conflicts and decisions to be made by functional management
Serves as administrator for Global Procedure Management System (GPDMS)
Provides administrative support for PLM / Optiva system and others as assigned
Conducts assigned record retention activities
Demonstrated organization skills and attention to detail (Required)
Associate or Bachelor degree, preferably in business (finance or accounting). (Preferred)
Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in financial or service management field, preferably involving complex global service agreements and service providers (Required)
Understanding of the purchasing lifecycle from sourcing to payment (Preferred)
Understanding of financial management principles (Required)
Demonstrated ability to successfully communicate with and align internal and external stakeholders and service providers (Required)
Demonstrated ability to navigate and thrive in a complex environment (Required)
