The Global Raw Material Risk Assessment Leader position requires leadership and active engagement to facilitate the quality into raw materials and packaging materials. The main objective is mitigate risk of raw materials / packaging materials and hold accountable suppliers to our quality standards globally – North America, Europe and APAC. The position requires the ability and the knowledge to learn how to effectively utilize and apply ITW tools and best known methods to Kester Materials.

Global Material Management
o Maintain list of materials to avoid during new product development
o Create and manage process to select, qualify, and disqualify raw materials
o Investigate alternatives to key raw materials to dual source where possible
o Determine raw material inspection criteria and shelf-life for new and existing codes (including SPC)
o Maintain and control incoming code inspection sheets
o Global management of raw materials to ensure copy exact with other Kester facility (s)
o Manage global raw material / primary packaging material code list

Global Risk Management
o Lead cross-functional team to assess supply risk – enhance current raw material risk assessment process.
o Proactively plan and lead appropriate actions to mitigate risk
o Document and score risk assessment per Kester or customer requirements as needed
o Collaborate with other departments to identify or qualify new and 2nd source raw materials or packaging materials (i.e. Supply Chain, Purchasing, R&D, Quality)
o Improve supplier and material risk management process to be more pro-active in order to prevent revenue loss, support revenue growth and increase customer satisfaction

General
o Demonstrates effective working relationships/communications with all personnel
o Comply with all quality, safety, and work rules and regulations
o Manage and maintain supplier and customer reports, when applicable
o Support Research & Development, Operations, and Engineering with continuous improvement projects.
o Additional duties as assigned

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
5 years of sourcing analyst, sourcing specialist, supplier quality and/or quality management experience required. Project leader experience is a plus. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in chemistry, engineering or related field.
