Position Summary:

The primary responsibilities of the Retail Visual Manager are to create and manage breakthrough visual presentations in a variety of environments that deliver against our brand strategy. Establish control-related standards and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design and execute breakthrough global windows, in-store presentations and seasonal story-telling that delivers on the outdoor brand strategy positioning timberland as a leader at retail and wholesale.

2. Concepting and merchandising events such as; tradeshows, showrooms, sales meetings, and other wholesale, retail events and corporate events.

3. Process and maintain visual library and quarterly reports on a regular basis.

4. Lead and participate in all relevant company wide initiatives as they arise.

5. Work as part of the team ensuring a service organization model adjusting to changing priorities.

6. Work cross functionally with other creative disciplines both internal and external in creating solutions that will drive brand positioning and strategies.

7. Work closely with fixturing and project management ensuring objectives and timelines are clearly understood.

8. Manage sourcing, engineering and procurement of visual elements and materials on budget.

9. Responsible for global retail market benchmarking and analysis

Job Requirements:

-Years of Related Professional Experience: 5-7+ in visual merchandising or retail design.

-Educational/Position Requirements:

-Experience and proven understanding of current global retail market (preferably footwear, apparel, outdoor or fashion markets).

-Knowledge of MAC based design and reporting software ie File Maker PRO, Indesign, Quark and/or Photoshop experience required.

-Ability to read architectural and engineering drawings is a plus.

-Rendering and photography skills required.

-IT Skills: Basic computer skills, Microsoft Word, Excel, Other:

-Languages: English

-Special Physical and/or Mental Requirements:
• Strong conceptual thinking and design capabilities including rendering skills.
• Team oriented, inquisitive and energetic.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and shifting priorities in an ever-changing environment.
- 20% Domestic and Overnight Travel Required.
