In this position, the Scheduling Coordinator will be responsible to schedule satellite earth station facilities, fiber, third party terrestrial systems, satellite space segment, transportables and production services in support of occasional use business.
Receive and process booking orders for teleport services, uplink trucks and production services.
Work with space segment providers and/or third party vendors to schedule orders.
Work closely with operations to get services on air in a timely manner. Trouble-shoot issues as they arise with operations, engineering, the customer and vendors.
Cross check vendor logs against scheduling system to ensure all orders are correct and all pertinent information is included in the order.
Represent Encompass Digital Media in a professional manner, as Encompass services major television networks, government and news agencies.
Other duties as may be assigned.
Ability to work in an extremely fast-paced and deadline oriented environment.
Ability to utilize existing PC based scheduling/accounting system and Microsoft Office Programs.
Experience with Scheduall product preferred.
Two years related experience in broadcast industry.
College or technical degree or equivalent work experience.
Excellent customer service skills required.
Multi-tasker, organized, detail oriented.
Knowledge of equipment and services dealing with teleport, satellite, fiber, production and transportable services.
Must have excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
Must have the ability to work rotating shifts, inclusive of weekends and holidays.
Ability to keep calm under pressure a must .
