The Global Supplier Quality Manager provides supplier quality leadership to the organization by developing and implementing a supplier quality department to meet / exceed customer expectations.

Essential Job Functions:

Executes APQP within the supply base to ensure on time flawless launch

Defines and develops required communication and rollout plan for addressing launch risks to quality and delivery

Manages run at rate and key milestone dates for suppliers

Understands, develops, and facilitates plans for process control, capability and sustainability at the supplier

Leads tech reviews with internal functions and suppliers

Supports procurement team with cost reduction workshops

Develops and implements supplier quality manual ensuring full compliance

Manages IMDS and TS16949 reporting requirements

Implements regular refreshers to accommodate updates in compliance with TS 16949

Manages supplier quality issues, 8D etc

Develops appropriate metrics for the function

Promotes a culture of continuous improvement and cost reduction with suppliers

Drives Supplier PPM down to world class levels.

Develops Improvement Plans with “Top 5 worst suppliers”

Supports Plants with suppliers that have chronic quality issues or multiple recurrences of the same issues


Bachelor’s Degree

10 year experience in automotive in a quality role

Experience with casting and machining

Strong Business writing and communication skill

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite


Experience with automotive suspension components, safety critical items


Business/Technical Knowledge:

Knowledge of automotive quality requirements.


Driven to accomplish results and drive resolution of issues

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Proactive, self-motivated.
