Job Summary:

Responsible for owning, developing and delivering exceptional learning experiences that prepare new and existing employees to excel in their work environment, globally. Must be proficient in BCD Travel operations processes, and travel automation and technology applications. Excellent coaching and assessment skills are required to gauge participant skill level and deliver an effective learning program.

Essential Job Functions:
- Extensive Travel – 50-75%

- Must be able to concentrate and perform accurately while meeting applicable productivity measures
- Must be able to change productively and to handle other tasks as assigned

Job Specific Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain a positive and professional learning environment
- SME or functional owner/leader on project teams and individual initiatives
- Develop implementation curriculum by attending conference calls and meetings to identify customer requirements
- Partner with Operations and Account Management to outline course deliverables, expectations and risks, to include specific training needs for the staff.
- Work with the Management team and TTS during start up week to identify and resolve issues
- Acquire and maintain expertise with a minimum of two technical or operational disciplines as the training SME, serve as a liaison to the TTS SME to ensure accuracy of curriculum or documentation to be produced
- Create high quality deliverables within project deadlines
- Monitor effectiveness of the training program and make recommendations for improvement when necessary
- Maintain good working relationship with all BCD Travel personnel
- Assume and perform other duties and responsibilities not specifically outlined herein, as requested

Essential Qualifications:
- 5 years experience in the travel industry
- Competency in Word, Excel and Outlook
- Expert, hands-on knowledge of all aspects of the travel reservation process and technology products, including airline GDS (Sabre preferred)

- Experience as a corporate travel training specialist (required)
- Thorough understanding of front-mid-and back-office travel processes

- Experience with soft skills training (customer service skills, team building, leadership)

- Strong presentation skills (in person and online)

- Experience creating training and presentation materials (WebEx, power point, simulations)
- Strong people management and leadership skills
- Strong problem solving and process reengineering skills
- Ability to travel as needed (including international)
