The Landscape Groundskeeper will perform labor functions for maintaining the landscape for the Resort through irrigation, weed and grass control on designated resort properties. This is a contract seasonal position with leave benefits, working approximately six (6) months a year.
DUTIES
1.Ensure customer satisfaction through prompt, efficient and friendly service.
2.Shall maintain resort entrance, RV Park, TCI, Hotel and medians landscape, regular weeding and mowing if applicable. Occasional job sharing with Golf Maintenance.
3.Work duties are performed outdoors often under adverse weather conditions such as hot sun, wind, rain, cold, etc.
4.Must be physically able to operate maintenance equipment, including string trimmers, walking mowers, hand tools, and other gardening equipment.
5.Assist in the repair, maintenance and installation of irrigation system.
6.Will operate and transport equipment in utility vehicle or golf cart.
7.Provide routine maintenance of equipment and tools reporting any safety issues or repair needs to supervisor.
8.Promotes a clean, safe and healthy work environment for employees and guest. Promptly reports all concerns to Supervisor.
9.If required to operate a motor vehicle, shall provide a valid driver's license, be insurable and consent to driving background history.
10.Comply with regulatory laws, employee handbook, department policy and procedures, safety codes, etc.
11.Ensure that the operation of equipment, tools and materials are handled in a safe manner.
12.Promote internal guest service standards through courteous and respectful behavior.
13.Other related duties as assigned or needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
1.Experience in maintenance, general labor or gardening required.
2.Knowledge of/ability to use common hand tools and equipment.
3.Physically fit: able to lift and maneuver up to 50 lbs., extensive use of back, arms, hands and extended time kneeling.
4.Ability to operate light utility vehicle and golf carts.
5.Maybe required to operate motor vehicle, driver's license is highly desirable, and must be insurable.
6.Exhibits a proffesional demeanor through appearance and by maintaining a positive attitude toward all employees and guests.
