The Eaton Aerospace Group, has an opening for a government accounting analyst for the FMC division located in either our Irvine, CA or Fort Worth,TX facilities. This position is responsible for: a) developing forward pricing rates in compliance with existing government accounting regulations and standards, b) leading interface with Government auditors on forward pricing rates, c) developing Government accounting and pricing capability throughout Eaton, d) supporting the development and maintenance of US Government Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) Disclosure Statements f) train PMC controllers and finance staff, and e) managing Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) unallowable cost testing and managing corrective action where gaps or non-compliances exist.
Duties and Responsibilities:
A. Review PMC sites’ accounting practices to ensure adequacy of company government accounting and business systems
B. Drafts PMC reports for Director review and issuance
C. Monitor and report on internal control gaps and associated corrective action plans
D. Interface with Government auditors on PMC accounting matters and serve as primary point of contact for DCAA and DCAA audit and inquiry matters
E. Maintain effective records to support Government audits and fact finding. Drafts and coordinates review of responses to Government requests for PMC records
F. Leads preparation and support negotiation of all PMC forward pricing rates and incurred costs claims
G. Work closely with PMC accounting and pricing staff to ensure that forward pricing rate submissions and contract proposals utilize most current, accurate and complete data.
H. Assist in delivering training programs to assure that PMC personnel have the job knowledge to fulfill obligations imposed by Government/contracts accounting and business system requirements.
I. Support the establishment and maintenance of US Government Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) segment Disclosure Statements and management administration requirements
• Strong interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to operate across a matrixed organizational structure
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of accounting principles and concepts.
• Working knowledge of Government cost accounting requirements and standards, as well as DCAA audit procedures.
• Working knowledge of accounting and ERP systems.
