Government State Specialist
FULL-TIME POSITION AVAILABLE
This position will report directly to the Government Sales Director and have responsibility for the Eastern portion of PA and the State of Delaware.

This is a Full Time position within the Government Sales Department. It has been developed to support and grow customers within a given territory for a State and the Political subdivisions within. This position drives Sales growth of new and existing State contracts, State bids, Customers, and Cooperative support.
o Market and prospect new State Government Sales opportunities, grow existing business, negotiate and monitor new and existing contracts, provide continuous improvement, and assist in coordinating new account implementation(s) including directing contract rollout by web or tele-conference.
o Develop and maintain the relationship with the accounts in their area and expanding/solidifying the relationship. Assist District Managers, Store Managers, and Outside Sales personnel to grow customers that are specific to the State and the Political Subdivisions within a given territory. This would likely include offering sales trainings and attending sales meetings.
o Grow sales with Cooperative agreements that may be signed by another Government Sales Specialist but have location opportunities within your sales territory.
o Ability to provide Executive Summary Level Reporting for Quarterly Reviews with top decision makers within the State. Provide Monthly Sales updates/newsletters to RVP's, District Managers, & Store Managers.
APPLICANTS SHOULD POSSESS:
o Excellent oral and written communication skills
o Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Excel Spreadsheets & PowerPoint.
o A minimum of 1 year experience with Fastenal and proven sales performance.
o Knowledge of State and Political Subdivisions procurement process and willingness to learn.
o Excellent Organizational, Time Management, and Communication skills are necessary.
o Ability to work in a Team environment with Stores, District Managers, and Government Sales.
o Ability to pass the required drug test (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico, and Guam ONLY).
