The Institute for Community Inclusion (ICI) offers training, clinical, and employment services, conducts research, and provides assistance to organizations to promote inclusion of people with disabilities in school, work, and community activities. Graduate Research assistants are sought to assist on multiple projects at ICI pertaining to policies and programs that impact individuals with disabilities.

Typical duties may include conducting literature searches and reviews, assisting in the design of research instruments (interview protocol, survey questionnaires), programming and testing of web surveys (training provided), assisting with research implementation, survey respondent follow up, data entry and file preparation, basic qualitative and quantitative data analysis and report writing, and administrative tasks such as filing and copying.

Applicants must be a matriculating graduate student at the University of Massachusetts Boston and should have completed undergraduate level coursework in research methods. The successful candidate will have an interest in and understanding of data collection and analysis, the ability to meet deadlines and work with minimal supervision, and good writing skills. Familiarity with issues of concern in the field of disability policy is preferred.

Additional Information:
Supervisor will be dependent upon actual assignment.
