Shrader Engineering is seeking motivated and talented graduate electrical engineers with the desire for a challenging and rewarding career in the engineering consulting field. This challenging position involves working as part of a highly specialized engineering team focused on regional critical infrastructure projects including water facilities, shipping ports, rapid transit and aviation, as well as privately owned industrial and petrochemical facilities.
This is an excellent opportunity for graduate EIT’s (engineers in training) to acquire knowledge in power distribution, instrumentation and controls, motor controls, emergency power, SCADA and telemetry, illumination, data transport, and sophisticated surveillance systems. Our EIT candidates work closely with licensed engineers and obtain in-depth knowledge and training in equipment selection and specification, cable and raceway calculations, voltage drop calculations, load flow and fault current calculations, short circuit analysis, and NEC code compliance. Candidates will perform engineering studies, detailed engineering design, computer modeling, and construction oversight services for regional projects.
- Applicants must have a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (major in Power Systems and Controls preferred)
- Must have passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam
- Experience using EasyPower or ETAP electrical modeling software a plus
- Solid verbal communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and willingness to take on new challenges
