What were looking for:
Cirle is seeking a talented junior level engineer / scientist who is looking for an opportunity to work on a next generation biosensor. The position involves working with other scientific experts on a cross-functional team using cutting edge techniques to fabricate polymers at a nano-level and understand their interaction with common types of bacteria.

The candidate would analyze scientific literature, assist in drafting and maintaining product requirements, and develop rigorous test methods to determine the efficacy of the sensor under close guidance from senior engineers. The position would also involve the setup of onsite laboratory equipment and would require working with outside laboratories as needed. Documenting data, labeling samples, and recording observations meticulously is a must.

The candidate would also have the opportunity to contribute to and troubleshoot sensor design with a team of scientists using carefully designed exploratory tests and statistical analysis. Clear and concise communication to remote colleagues and supervisors in the form of written reports and polished presentations would be required.

Ideal Candidate Background:
Biomedical engineering, chemical engineering, materials science or related degree is required.
Experience working in a laboratory environment with controlled test setups
Proficiency in the use of statistical data analysis tools (i.e. excel / minitab)
Familiarity with cell culture systems, aseptic handling, media preparation, buffer preparation,
cell counting techniques (i.e. plate counting, flow cytometry), UV-Vis spectroscopy is required.
Knowledge of Labview programming is a plus

This is a part-time position with the ability to transition into a full-time role. Flexible hours and work schedule is available depending upon circumstances.
