Position Summary:
Responsible for conducting the full range of activities required to prepare, submit, and manage grant proposals to foundation and corporate sources.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform prospect research on foundations and corporations to evaluate potential funding sources.
Prepare and submit foundation and corporation grant proposals in response to agency priorities and needs.
Work with finance to gather information necessary to report to corporate/foundation funders on current grant programs.
Comply with all grant reporting as required by foundation/corporate donors.
Provide stewardship to current donors, including work with the Office of Marketing & Fund Development to provide regular written updates to corporate and foundation donors.
Provide general support to The Office of Marketing & Fund Development as needed.
All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge Requirements:
Bachelor degree required. Master’s degree preferred.
Minimum 5-7 years of relevant grant writing experience and/or work in the field of fundraising.
Previous experience will demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of potential funding sources and a proven track record in securing new funding opportunities for program, capital and general operating expenses.
Duties require professional verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in or knowledge of using a variety of computer software and e-mail applications, especially Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word; have the aptitude to learn other computer software as necessary.
