The Grants and Contracts Manager will have the ability to research data on topic areas and write compelling narratives, have expertise in mental health programs and/or homeless programs, strong administrative skills in office software, formatting documents, and working with PDF's

DUTIES

  • Oversees the preparation and submission of funding applications to LifeWorks' public funding sources for the Divisions and all subsequent programs. Develops tracking tools identifying ongoing and new funding opportunities including source of funding, purpose, amount, funding cycle and due dates. Provides consultation and training in proposal writing as appropriate.
  • Develops and implements systems for identifying and tracking all division contract reporting requirements. Oversees the timely and accurate submission of all performance and evaluation reports to funding sources.
  • Ensures that program budgets are in line with grant and contract guidelines, and develops systems for expenditure requests, approvals and receipts for all programs within the Divisions.
  • Assists Program Directors and Finance Staff in programmatic and financial monitoring audits of sub-contractors.
QUALIFICATIONS

  • Requires a Bachelor's degree in social or behavioral sciences, human resources, human services, business, or related administrative field; or
  • Requires 5+ years related experience; or
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.
PREFERRED
5 + years with human services nonprofit, either in direct service or administration;
Experience with key LifeWorks issue areas such as Poverty, Homelessness, Mental Health, Education, Prevention, and Workforce
