NYU's Chemistry department is seeking a Grants Administrator to manage all post and pre-award grants activities for the department.

Manage post-award activities, including tracking and analyzing expenses on grants and preparing reports for Director of Administration. Address any inaccuracies in records in a timely fashion. Interface with Information Technology staff to ensure department access to appropriate data management systems.

Act as principal department liaison with the Office of Sponsored Programs. Advise Principal investigators and researchers (including students) on funding opportunities and grant writing. Interpret funding agency and University guidelines and terms of grants and other agreements. Write reports and correspondence for large scale institutional grants under the supervision of the Director of Administration.

Co-manage 30+ project portfolio for 25+ investigators totaling $10M+ and an operating budget of $5M.

Qualifications/Required Education:
Bachelor's degree and

Preferred Education:
Required Experience:
2 years' relevant experience including grant budget development/grant writing or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Experience:
Experience in an academic or research environment.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: (include unique competencies, certification, licenses, etc.):

Excellent writing, analytical, problem-solving skills, communication and organizational skills. Demonstrated success in writing funded proposals and in identifying and researching funding opportunities. Working knowledge of accounting fundamentals. Knowledge of standard office software.
