Internal Title: Post Award Financial Coordinator
Function: Responsible for assuring compliance with regulations and internal control systems applicable to sponsored programs and day to day support to faculty and staff receiving sponsored agreements.
Duties: Performs data recording/record keeping operations; performs routine computations requiring a knowledge of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, decimals, and/or percentages; responsible for specialized computer operations such as designing spreadsheets and generating reports; responsible for establishing and/or maintaining existing file system; responsible for assuring compliance to terms and conditions of monetary awards according to OMB Circulars A-21 and A-133 as well as those of the University, State, and Federal Government; regular exposure (more than 50%) to disagreeable physical and/or mental stress.

Department Preferences
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.

Familiarity with the OMB Circular A-21 and OMB Circular A-133.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to handle high percentage of mental and/or physical stress.

Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree OR an equivalent combination of education/job related experience.

24 months in a business-related field including contract management, grants administration, and/or audit of sponsored programs; some sponsored program experience in a college or university, the private sector, or the federal government.

Required Certifications, Registrations, or Licenses:
These requirements may be imposed by federal, state or recognized accrediting agency as a prerequisite of employment

Required Skills and Proficiencies:
Please list the skills and proficiencies needed to perform the essential duties and responsibilities
Working knowledge of accounting principles; basic computer skills and familiarity with software including word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications; excellent written and oral communication skills using basic grammatical structure and proofreading ability.
