The Graphic Designer works with various members of the Marketing Department and other groups firm-wide, responsible for conceptualization and design of solutions to the completion of various projects. These projects include but are not limited to invitations, advertisements, client/prospect communications, pitches and presentations to clients and prospects, marketing collateral such as brochures, newsletters, reports and similar documents. The person in this position must be able to multi-task very effectively, as many projects must be handled at once and many deadlines overlap. Must also be able to work independently as well as with other designers, sharing responsibility for projects when needed. Attention to detail is a must. Strong communication skills are important too – written and oral – as the Graphic Designer works with colleagues in the Marketing Department, other administrative departments and firm lawyers. This Graphic Designer will be working on an alternate schedule to support our west coast offices which is currently planned for 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Central.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Create and execute design concepts that include ads, invitations and other design projects maintaining visual appearance, usability and brand continuity. Original keying and incorporating editors changes; consulting with lawyers and/or supervisor to evaluate individual project needs; preparing cost and time estimates for projects.
Final production of documents. (File preparation, styles, templates, tables, table of contents, etc.).
Review all art and graphics for consistency of design.
Coordinate production activities.
Perform quality check for spelling, format and style (includes reviewing text for formatting errors and correcting before sending).
Render computer generated drawings and graphics, and modifying existing clip art, digital images and layout according to specifications.
Work in firms web center (back end of web site) to upload graphic design files; including ensuring graphics and links function correctly.
Format pitches and other marketing materials, as needed.
Other projects as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:Required:
Associate degree from an accredited college or university
A minimum of 5 years of experience manipulating/integrating graphics from spreadsheet or presentation applications for projects ranging from small proposals to large complex efforts with extensive graphics
Demonstrated advanced proficiency in Adobe Indesign, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Excel
Knowledge of offset and digital production process and the various stocks available
Knowledge of the rendering of content for the internet and HTML 5 compliancy
Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university
