Researches, conceives and designs Bauer College and departmental publications, and/or other print and electronic communications vehicles.

Conceives, designs and executes projects for Bauer College and department clients.

Consults with clients in Bauer College to analyze and determine project specifications.

Establishes job specifications to obtain required quotes for external vendor services for Bauer College.

Compiles and analyzes vendor quotes to prepare budget worksheets and project schedules for Bauer College.

Collaborates with editors and writers to
develop written copy to be used in various projects for Bauer College.

Consults and discusses photographic shoots with photographers according to project specifications for Bauer College.

Presents and proposes design solutions to director and clients of Bauer College.

Inspects and approves vendor progress on projects by proofing systems for Bauer College.

Monitors and oversees all projects on printing press to assure high quality for Bauer College

Coordinates delivery of each project with vendors and clients of Bauer College, making sure that samples are received for file.

Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
Requires an Associate’s degree or certification/licensing in a technical specialty program of over 18 months and up to 3 years duration are characteristic of this field.

Requires a minimum of three (3) years of directly job-related experience.

Additional Information:
  • Qualified candidates will have a thorough understanding of both basic graphic design principles and current trends and best practices in branding, communication and user experience (as it relates to design).
  • The candidate should have experience and willingness to create pieces that generate from a variety of sources, including graphical mockups, client meetings, request forms, etc., and be well versed in working with non-technical clients as well as vendors and communications professionals.
  • Strong experience with Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign necessary.
  • Candidates should have experience clearly conveying complex information using graphic design and be prepared to show examples of previous projects and pieces that demonstrate this. Experience working in a communications team is preferred.
