Under the supervision of the Lead Designer and Supervisor, the Senior Designer will work collaboratively with the MBD Team members to concept, design and implement Seyfarth’s print and online marketing and promotional materials — including collateral, advertisements, proposal and presentation templates, website/online marketing programs and new media applications.
The Senior Designer must have a strong portfolio demonstrating design excellence and innovation in a wide range of design projects — however, a focus on corporate communications is plus. Candidates for this position should be able to be hands-on in the creation of comps, mockups, as well as manage the design projects from initial concept to final product. The ideal candidate will also possess a thorough understanding of the design process and marketing concepts.
Essential Job Function:
Support the MBD Team by conceptualizing creative designs and innovative solutions for the
Work independently on individual project’s workflow and scheduling to ensure consistency, error-free quality and on-time delivery in all stages of the process—conceptualization, design, layout, production and fulfillment
Undergraduate degree in graphic design or related field
Strong design (print/web) portfolio with 5+ years experience
Previous experience working in a corporate or professional services environment with corporate clients preferred. Law firm experience a plus, but not required
Mastery of the Adobe Creative Suite for both web & print media (CS5 Suite), Microsoft Suite, and proficiency using Macromedia Flash and current video technologies.
Experience implementing Web 2.0 design & technologies using Dreamweaver, HTML, CSS and Flash
A thorough understanding of what constitutes best-in-class design and the ability to effectively communicate your ideas to management and production team.
Understand brand strategy and design objectives for assigned projects
Receive creative direction and constructive criticism to successful outcomes
Efficiently multi-task and employ good time management skills
Technical knowledge of printing and on-line production processes
Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in conjunction with ongoing day-to-day deliverables; showcase ability to change tasks quickly as priorities change
Candidate must be self-starter who enjoys being hands on and can excel in a fast-paced environment characterized by tight turnarounds and deadlines
Candidate should be flexible, have a positive attitude, customer service motivation and be able to work as part of a team. Strong communications skills are required
Experience with photography and/or videography a plus.
Position involves computer use.
