Assistant General Manager
Designs reports, proposals, and presentations ensuring they display exceptional graphic appearance. Works independently while exercising a fair degree of discretionary judgment. This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Designs all outgoing communication materials. Imports graphic images and integrates with text. Manipulates text and graphics to accommodate a wide range of design specifications.
Consults with staff to determine scope of project and the most effective and impactful visual presentation of information.
Ensures graphic projects are completed on-time by determining schedules due to priority deadlines.
Contributes to the recommendation of improvements to technologies, applications, programs, and approaches to improve graphic output in terms of efficiency, effectiveness, or appearance.
Contributes to the development of graphic standards and policies to improve graphic output.
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree in related field such as Computer Graphics or Arts. Two to four years of related graphic design experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Experience working with both Excel based embedded charts and native PowerPoint charts preferred. Requires in-depth knowledge and training in desktop publishing applications such as Photoshop, Illustrator, or InDesign .
Demonstrated ability to manage time efficiently across multiple projects. Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and thoroughness. Must demonstrate clear and effective oral and written communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively with staff inside the department and across the organization. Ability to make sound decisions and exercise judgment.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Work Environment : Typical indoor office environment with minimal exposure to excessive noise or adverse environmental conditions.
The physical activity of this position is of a sedentary nature which involves sitting most of the time. The employee may occasionally lift, carry, and/or move up to 10 pounds. It is necessary for the employee to be able to use their hands to operate computer equipment and communicate by talking and hearing. Close visual acuity is required to perform activities such as viewing a computer screen and graphic designs with variations in color. Prolonged and intense concentration is required.
