Prepares cafeteria customer grill orders. Assist in Café set up and service during business hours. Sanitizes grill area and equipment. Grill orders are prepared according to customer requests. Supplies are maintained at a proper level. Food preparation area and equipment are sanitized. Prepares tray line special requests as need per shift. Does this accurately and in a timely manner.
Sets up hot food entrees, grill items and deli bar.
Follows recipes when preparing grill items ordered by customers.
Serves hot food requested by cafeteria customers.
Cleans food preparation area per health department guidelines.
Sanitizes the grill, fryer, and hoods according to manufacturer recommendations.
Completes supply order form for the next meal service.
Maintains supplies during meal service.
Prepares tray line’s special request according to guidelines
Prepares tray line’s vegetables as needed for patient service
Records temperatures in log book according to sanitation guidelines.

A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
Prior experience as a Grill Cook or in food services is preferred.
The ability to understand written and oral instruction is required.
Illinois department of Public Health sanitation licesense is required or must be able to obtain one with in 6 months of employement.
