The Groundskeeper I is capable of performing a variety of landscape maintenance practices involving spring and fall cleanup, turf grass maintenance, pruning, snow removal, plant care, equipment maintenance and maintenance of exterior fixtures throughout the campus. Is available for weekend and early morning snow removal responsibilities and is responsible for a weekend rotation during the spring summer and fall for watering plants and entranceway cleanup.
Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma
Prerequisites include experience with landscape maintenance and or use and knowledge of equipment
Experience with all phases of landscape maintenance and mechanical aptitude for equipment maintenance and use
Valid New York State drivers license
Must be able to lift heavy material of 50# and lift objects of greater weight with the assistance of additional employees
Year round out door work in all weather conditions
Repeated availability for early mornings and weekend requirements for snow removal responsibilities
