  • Work closely with clients to assess their business, marketing and media needs, provide the strategic vision for their efforts, and identify opportunities to expand agency involvement in client’s marketing efforts
  • Collaborate with agency leadership to implement new product offerings, strategies and approaches for clients
  • Oversee the professional growth of team. Build and foster a team environment that yields strong individual and team performance as well as knowledge sharing
  • Work with media sales community, in-house research departments, client and creative agencies to develop unique and strategically appropriate media approaches, including the exploration of venues (sites, creative technologies, etc.) that utilize emerging technologies pertinent to our clients' objectives
  • Lead specific new business efforts, organizing the media program, striving for breakthrough ideas, acting as an integral part of the pitch team, presenting recommendations to prospect
  • Contribute to the company's knowledge base by creating and sharing case studies, POVs and seminar/conference summaries
  • Oversee client and account financial requirements (e.g., budgeting, staffing needs, media schedules, budget reconciliations and account financials)
  • Facilitate and develop effective relationships between the agency and external groups (e.g., creative, web operations, production), both client-side as well as within other agencies.
Requirements:
  • 12+ years advertising experience, with 8+ years of that being hands on digital advertising and/or digital media experience
  • Financial services or banking background
  • Strong ability to judge and quantify results of advertising / promotional efforts placed on behalf our clients (i.e., understand true value of ROI, understand/describe impact of results, compare actual results to needs of client/product) and know what to do with this information (i.e., how to optimize placements, which promotions to recommend, etc.)
  • Proven experience in developing the digital vision as well as with sophisticated digital measurement approaches, online advertising performance metrics and data analysis. Needs to be very knowledgeable of data modeling, integration and infrastructures
  • Exceptionally strong interpersonal, communication, presentation and organizational skills
  • Thrive in high-pressure situations with the ability to multi-task across multiple accounts or initiatives
  • An inspirational thought leader within an organization
  • Current knowledge of digital media trends, platforms and technology
  • Strategic or account planning background a plus
  • Knowledge of media technology as well as planning and research resources such as Double Click, comScore/@Plan, Nielsen/NetRatings, Simmons and other research/planning tools
