The Group Account Director’s primary role is to provide strategic leadership that builds the client’s business. The Group Account Director is a critical part of the client’s inner circle. The Group Account Director is the Agency’s lead in the communication of ideas, projects and agency points of view to the client. In addition, the Group Account Director is responsible for overall management of their assigned business, and for growing the business.


Project Management
• Engages strategic planning and other Agency resources (e.g. Media) as appropriate
• In conjunction with Strategic Planning leads team in development of key business and communication strategy(s)
• Actively coaches team members in developing their project-management skills
• Provides focused input and direction to team, leading to great ideas
• Oversees execution of all grassroots activation

Client Partnership
• Gatekeeper of the trust, confidence and respect of client
• Sets the standard for building strong, productive client relationships
• Works with client to develop focused objectives and strategies
• Proactively anticipates client needs and manages client expectations
• Identifies and resolves client issues
• Looks for opportunities of increased agency involvement
• Effectively presents and sells agency work and agency points of view
• Leads highly productive client meetings

Strategic Thinking
• Leads the development of key business and promotion strategies
• Appropriately prioritizes strategic initiatives and engages strategic planning as appropriate
• Oversees and leads development of Client’s multi-market brand strategy and how that translates to local market dynamics to drive consumer preference, distribution and sales.
• Makes clients proponents of strategic planning
• Provides focused input and direction to team, leading to great ideas
• Provides clear vision for the client’s brand
• Frames POVs around the consumer
• Strategically understands the creative contribution and evaluates it against the Creative Brief
• Constantly thinks about client’s business and proactively brings added-value initiatives and new ideas

Fiscal Responsibility
• Manages all fiscal responsibilities on assigned accounts
• Responsible for management of client P&L, including accuracy of quarterly forecasts and management of account profitability
• Proactively communicates potential income fluctuations
• Manages, leads and directs all Account Receivables functions
• Identifies at least two revenue building or cost reduction ideas per year for their clients business

• Bachelor’s degree in related field and 10+ years agency management experience preferred. Specific product/service experience highly desired. Previous Branding and CPG experience required

• Fully integrated marketing experience including knowledge of media (Hispanic market a plus), digital, social, ATL and BTL creative development, promotional marketing, field marketing and grass roots activation (including events and in-store sampling)

• Retail market knowledge required. HIspanic market knowledge preferred.

• In-depth knowledge and experience of the Hispanic consumer in the US preferred.

• Able to create and inspire and to deliver a vision.

• Proven ability to effectively lead clients and agency team.

• Exceptional organizational and communication skills.

• Strong strategic thinker.

• Proven multitasker.

• Flexibility to work extra hours with little or no advance notification.

• Strong grasp of agency fiscal responsibilities.

• Very strong work ethic.
