Intuit and Turbo Tax make taxes easier for tens of millions of people every single year. We do the vast majority of this business over a short three month window, allowing us to solve very interesting and unique technical problems on a daily basis. We need someone like you to help us build quality into our products from the ground up. You will be a key technical and quality leader in the Intuit Consumer Group and will be responsible for driving a very senior team that will build quality into everything we do in our platform and user experience.

As a Group Manager of Quality, you will be responsible for building quality acumen both within your immediate team and across the entire organization. The successful candidate for this role will have great communication skills, outstanding people leadership acumen, and the ability to define a technology vision that will have quality as an integral component. This person will also help to motivate and grow the team to take on even more interesting technology and quality challenges which will drive the business in the years to come.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the day-to-day activities of the quality team within an Agile/Scrum environment.

Staff, mentor, develop, and maintain a best-of-class quality team.

Work closely with managers and senior quality engineers to architect and develop our quality infrastructure.

Design and build a quality infrastructure that enables constant product iteration and optimization.

Work across the organization to drive quality across a wide variety of disciplines.

Collaborate with the wider Intuit business and technology groups to drive best practice sharing.


Basic Qualifications

10+ years experience in quality and quality engineering.

8 years experience building automated test scripts such as Selenium

8 years experience developing Java white box testing such as JUnit

4 years experience testing service-oriented (SOA) architectures

5+ years people management experience, including experience building a team from the ground up.

The ability to directly and successfully lead a high-performing team through complex people and technology change.

A deep understanding of team software development in an Agile environment.

Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

BS in Computer Science or equivalent.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in quality engineering for a SAAS based platform.

Experience with Jenkins and TestNG.

A full understanding of quality assurance using cloud platforms and technologies.
