The Guest Services Representative provides reception and assistance to all visitors/guests of the hospital.
The Guest Services Representative greets all visitors, vendors and business partners. You will assure that the front desk and lobby areas remain clean, neat and organized. It is your responsibility to register visitors and vendors and to notify the appropriate department of requested tours. You will provide guidance to volunteers in assisting visitors, vendors and business partners.
The Guest Services Representative enforces policies and procedures related to visiting hours, in conjunction with other hospital departments. You will provide vending machine refunds, receive flower deliveries, forward mail to discharged patient's home address, and monitor the ambulance entrance for admissions. You will also assist visitors with the provision of wheelchairs, escort or directions to their destination as well as handling other general information requests.
You will be responsible for maintaining an accurate list of hospital inpatients and for implementing the visitation policy and procedures. You will recommend and assist with the implementation of improvements in the reception area processes. Additionally, you will provide word processing and project support to other hospital departments as assigned by your supervisor.

A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Previous experience as a receptionist is preferred.
Computer experience in a Windows environment is preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required. The ability to work independently is required.
