Indiana Connections Academy (INCA) is a tuition-free, virtual charter school authorized by Ball State University. INCA provides its education program and other services to students in grades K-12 throughout Indiana. The school was founded in 2010, when the Indiana Department of Education selected Connections Academy to provide virtual education to students, and officially became a charter school in the fall of 2011.
Position Summary and Responsibilities
Working from our office in Indianapolis, the Administrative Assistant- Guidance is responsible for daily administrative tasks of the school such as student transcripts, entering ACT/SAT scores, verifying 21st Century Scholars information, ECA administrative tasks, organization of home school credit portfolios, running truancy reports, answering phones and email, assisting the manager of counseling and counseling department with administrative tasks, filing, and other duties as assigned.
• Entering data into the online student information system;
• Generating reports;
• Answering the phones;
• Scheduling appointments;
• Speak with Parents and Students;
• Assist school Principal with a wide variety of daily responsibilities; and
• Additional duties as assigned.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools and web-based applications is essential
• Previous high school/guidance office experience preferred
