The American College of Radiology, the leading membership and advocacy organization for the radiology profession, seeks a Guidelines Development Specialist for our Appropriateness Criteria Radiation Oncology program in our Quality & Safety department. The successful candidate will work with physician members to develop, review, and update ACR Appropriateness Criteria Radiation Oncology (AC RO) guidelines through conference calls and meetings; work with committee chairs to develop new guidelines and to review current guidelines; review and edit documents for completeness and accuracy; conduct and document literature searches for principal authors; summarize selected research articles and assess study quality using standardized methodology; prepare monthly reports on AC RO program activities to ACR commissions and committees; educate panel members on AC methodology; poll for member availability and prepare agendas and other materials for AC RO meetings and conference calls; draft summary notes and minutes; and research issues and provide solutions to member inquiries.
