JOB SUMMARY:

Total Safety, the leading global outsourced provider of integrated safety and compliance solutions and products, is looking for H2S Safety Technician Trainees who WORKS ONSITE WITH CUSTOMERS TO ENSURE THEIR GAS DETECTION AND BREATHING AIR NEEDS ARE MET. PRIMARY FOCUS IS DEPLOYMENT AND MAINTENANCE OF FIELD EQUIPMENT.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- DEPLOYMENT, MAINTENANCE, AND SUPPORT OF GAS DETECTION SYSTEMS AND BREATHING AIR CUSTOMER NEEDS IN THE UPSTREAM OIL & GAS ENVIRONMENT.
- HOLD A LEADERSHIP ROLE IN THE FIELD ON SUBJECTS OF GAS DETECTION & SAFETY.
- PROVIDE CUSTOMER H2S TRAINING AND FIT TESTING ON LOCATION.
- WORK ON CALL TO FULFILL CUSTOMER NEEDS THROUGH EMERGENCY RESPONSE.
- WILL RECEIVE THOROUGH TRAINING ON H2S AND HOW TO SAFELY WORK IN POTENTIAL H2S OPERATIONS.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

- Demonstrated integrity, professionalism and commitment to safety.
- Experience in an upstream oil & gas setting is preferred.
- High School diploma or GED and associates degree, technical or military training strongly preferred.
- Ability to read, write and comprehend English (operational, manufacturer’s manuals, wiring guides, schematics, diagrams and blueprints, safety and quality instructions).
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Current drivers license from state of residence, and valid proof of vehicle insurance. Must possess good driving record and be insurable by Total Safety US, Inc. insurance providers for vehicle insurance while driving company truck. CDL Class A or B is a bonus, but not mandatory.
- Be willing travel to customers site and available for travel for short and long-term out-of-town projects. “On call”, rotation based work schedule.
- Knowledge of computers, electronics, and basic electrical principles.
- Ability to read, interpret and record data from meters, gauges, panels, computer consoles and other equipment.
- Experience with respiratory protection concepts and supplied breathing air preferred.

TRAINING:
• 4-6 WEEKS TRAINING WILL BE PROVIDED.
•ANY UPSTREAM OIL & GAS RELATED TRAINING IS HELPFUL, BUT NOT MANDATORY.
