Develops and articulates effective marketing strategies that are impactful, executable, easily communicated, and clinically/ financially supported for areas of responsibility (product/indication/channel). Demonstrates ability to segment a market, select optimal target audiences and position effectively for the target segment.
Responsible for specific geographical area of the country by understanding market drivers, competitive landscape and provider dynamics.
Translates local area business needs into local strategies while informing national marketing plan.
Manages ad boards, speaker programs, meetings, and medical education projects within assigned budget. Continually evaluates and applies knowledge of the effectiveness and efficiency of key tactics. Effectively manages projects to deliver high-quality work product in a timely fashion (meets deadlines). Ensures that regulatory guidelines are followed.
Maintains a working knowledge of industry information sources (MD/Channel level data, audits/secondary data and primary research). Uses appropriate data sources to evaluate effectiveness of promotional tactics and develop business strategy.
ACCOUNTABILITY / SCOPE:
Support development of strategic and tactical action plans; execute upon tactical plan in a timely and effective manner. Reporting to Senior Product Manager. Impact goals will directly align with market share and financial performance of products. Other goals will align with HCP specific goals to ensure accountability throughout the strategic and tactical development and execution leading up to and through product launch.
Experience with HCP related activities required. Expertise/knowledge of Virology/HCV therapeutic area a plus. Key competencies include: excellent project management and communication capabilities, strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, strong collaboration and team orientation. Experience developing and implementing a conceptual framework and taking tactics from concept through execution. Experience accomplishing results through others and influencing others. Experience negotiating. Understanding of sales organization. Knowledge of marketing organization. Knowledge of market trends and competitive practices. Existing specific market knowledge and expertise desired.
Bachelor's Degree in Science or related field. Advanced degree or previous sales/marketing experience required. MBA
