Located in a suburb of Seattle our hospital offers key services including the Family Birth Center, advanced Diagnostic, Heart Care and Orthopedic services and our Oncology Cancer Care Centers. We also offer the high-tech heart Catheterization Lab, part of our sophisticated heart care services; the homey comforts of the Family Birth Center and the modern Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) facility, all located at on the hospital campus.

We are seeking an experienced acute care HIM Operations Manager. Must have Associates Degree in Health Information Management, Bachelors preferred and have RHIA or RHIT.

A minimum of five (5) years management experience in a mid to large sized integrated hospital.

Manages the day to day operations of the Health Information Department. Duties include monitoring workflow, productivity, quality standards and completing evaluations. The HIM Manager will act as a resource for all staff. Coordinates schedules, approves leaves, and ensures that appropriate coverage is arranged at all times. Works collaboratively with other department management to assure efficiencies and effectiveness of operations. Works collaboratively with other hospital departments and the medical staff. Actively participates in problem resolution and upholds the values of the organization with a prioritization on service delivery to the medical staff. Actively participates with the HIM Director in the successful implementation and maintenance of the electronic medical record and other continuous improvement initiatives. Manages physician record completion and reporting process. Manages, performs, and reports medical record review in conjunction with The Joint Commission standards Other duties as assigned by the HIM director.

Proven proficiency and understanding of HIM department operations and HIM specific computer applications, such as on-line deficiency analysis; document imaging, and legal aspects
