Physician, HIV Specialist

Provide comprehensive primary health care services to Health Center patients, with and without HIV, in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of disease. Acts as primary health care provider within the scope of his/her primary care specialty. Performs physical examinations on new and return clients. Refers patients to specialists as necessary. Documents all patient care activities. Maintain a productivity level necessary to reach mandated annual level of encounters.

Board certified or eligible in specialty, M.D or D.O, California licensed physician. Federal DEA license. AAHIVM Certified, 3 years of direct experience providing HIV care required. Experience with Hepatitis C treatment preferred. Excellent clinical skills, a commitment to evidence based practices and ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment with evolving clinical and administrative duties is required. The desire and ability to teach a plus. Bilingual (Spanish/ English) preferred.
