Regular/Temporary: Regular Return to Previous Page Responsibilities The incumbent reviews and prepares closing packages for equity and mortgage products, contacts branches and settlement agents to obtain routine loan documentation, and resolves documentation issues for loan closings. The incumbent must have excellent oral communication skills and knowledge of equity and mortgage closing documents. The incumbent is required to meet department productivity and quality standards. Description of Function;Verify accuracy of information input into the system, by comparing key documents such as title, homeowner’s insurance, appraisal and flood certificate. Verify rate expiration and doc expirations.Review closing settlement sheets from closing agent and update the system with escrow information and conditions that must be satisfied prior to funding. Prepare closing packages for all products offered.Review fees and charges, calculate net funding, enter wire information and send e-mail notification to accounting. Send closing docs to agents electronically, fax figures and conditions, update system, receive HUD from agent for review and approval.Ensure the scheduling of loan closings with either the settlement agent or the customer. Ship files to post closingEnter clear and concise comments, edit information and document application status on appropriate loan systems.Scope: Actions of the incumbent affect many segments, including internal and external customers, regulatory impacts directly related to compliance, and can impact the bank’s reputation in the community. Impact: This position directly impacts the length of time an application is in the closing department, which in turn, affects the loan closing date, and availability and disbursement of funds to the customer. Direct impact to monthly closing goals. Qualifications High School or Equivalent (GED) requiredAssociate and Bachelor Degree preferred or 2 years closing experience Skills: Attention to detail and accuracy, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a high volume area. Ability to follw directions, multi task and work independently. Ability to readily adapt in a fast pace ever changing environment. Advanced typing skills and strong computer skills. Ability to work well in a team environment. Work Experience: 2 years of mortgage or equity loan closing. Knowledge of loan documentation related to closings, experience working with various branches and settlement agents.2 years of ability to work in a high volume, fast paced environment. Ability to produce under pressure, multi task and prioritize in a sometimes stressful environment.2 years of customer Service. Experience in oral and written communication with internal and external customers.2 years of proficient PC skills. Outlook, Microsoft. Hours and Work Schedule Hours per Week: 40
