Professional position providing support for the Human Resources function which includes: administering health, vision, dental, short and long term disability, group life, 401(k) program, flexible spending, employee records maintenance, employee wellness program, providing recruiting support, and reporting on employee data as requested.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Administer new hire process for the U.S., including setting up employee record, scheduling orientation, and providing HR orientation
Work with various areas of HR and Finance to ensure internal and external databases are accurate
Enroll and terminate employees in medical, dental, vision, 401(k), short-term disability, COBRA, and voluntary benefits; assist with enrollment questions, issues and changes
Provide timely, high quality ad-hoc trouble shooting for employee benefit questions
Reconcile monthly invoices from each of the benefits providers and provide to finance for payment
Setup and maintain hew hire personnel files
Crop and upload employee photographs into SharePoint
Administer company credit card, education assistance requests, and Live Detroit program applications
Grant and revoke floor access to employees and visitors (badges)
Update organization charts
Work with attorneys to track and keep employee immigration paperwork up-to-date
Coordinate wellness committee meetings, agendas and follow up items, organize committee events
Assist with special projects including annual merit/bonus process, intern housing, open enrollment, total compensation statements, and employee events (year-end meeting, kid’s day, wellness fairs)
Assist Recruiting with scheduling interviews and running background checks on potential candidates
Administer HR policies to comply with internal procedures
Other ad hoc requests including creating headcount reports, composing employment and visa verification letters, scheduling meetings, maintaining organizational codes, awards, and certifications in NAVISION

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Must possess a combination of education and experience as follows:
Must hold a baccalaureate degree preferably in human resources, business, or psychology or other related field from an accredited U.S. college or university, or equivalent foreign institution.
